In Brief : The Konig Wolf Discharger Package adds a trio of new functions to the Konig’s Multi-Dischargers, allowing them to function as gas emitters or heat sinks, as well as enhancing the old boosting system.

Description:The Konig Wolf is famed as a zoid that can do everything… but only once it’s modified. In particular, it possesses “Multi-Dischargers”, but the stock Konig only has one function with these Dischargers. As with the Konig’s weapons, the Helic engineers quickly fixed this shortcoming through the aptly-named Konig Wolf Discharger Package.

The Package adds two new functions to the Multi-Dischargers, and modifies the old one. The first allows them to spew a wonderful gas identical to what the King Liger carries. The gas will reduce visibility, but more importantly it will disable the sensors of anything caught in it. Missiles will lose their lock and zoids with sensory equipment will find themselves deprived. Also, some of the fancier electronic devices, like Optical Stealth Shields, will malfunction or be deactivated completely while in the gas. The gas may be spewed for up to three seconds before requiring an amount of time equal to its use to recharge (3 seconds of use = 3 second cooldown).

The second function allows them to function as heat sinks, venting off the excess heat that the Konig is notorious for producing. This allows the Konig free use of its charged melee weapons without a problem. They also make the Wolf painfully easy to find on IR sensors, though.

The final ability is a modification of the original boosting ability. The original version allowed the Konig to boost for 1-2 seconds, with a six second recharge period. The new version will allow the Konig to stretch its boosting out to three seconds, although it can do considerably less if need be. However, every second of use requires 4 seconds of cooldown, so using the boost for the maximum three seconds can lead to problems down the line.

It is important to note that only one function can be used at a time, and it takes three seconds to change from one option to another one. Also, any recharging needed will not occur while a different function is in use. For example, if you use the boost for three seconds, then switch to the Gas, the boost will still have to recharge for twelve seconds when you switch back to it. Finally, note that this is permanent. Despite these drawbacks, the Konig Wolf Discharger Package can be a valuable addition to the Wolf’s already varied arsenal.
