--On the Cannonfort, The Fort Greaves mount to each leg, completely encasing the leg in armor, as well as encasing the hooves in hardened alloy.
In Brief: The Fort Greaves were created to add some protection to the Cannonfort's completely unarmored legs. This modification is permanent.

Description: Since the days of the old Helic Republic, the Cannonfort has been viewed as a stable assault platform. It carries extremely potent weapons for its level, possessing weapons that rival those of the Imperial Black Rhimos. The Cannonfort was thought to be the perfect low-cost assault Zoid by many. But one issue stood out in the Cannonfort's design. The Cannonfort's legs were completely unarmored and quite vulnerable to attack. This made the Cannonfort less desirable to many Zoid warriors, who would rather sacrifice a lower price and generous fire power for the greater protection that Zoids like the Black Rhimos and Bear Fighter provide.

Zoid engineers worldwide are always looking to improve upon a Zoid's weakness. An obscure engineer, who loved to read, was perusing an ancient encyclopedia of warfare, looking for inspiration, and he stumbled upon a picture of a Zoidian knight wearing armor that covered his entire body, including the legs. The armored leggings he was wearing were known as greaves, and the engineer named his new modification similarly. From there, it was not that much of a stretch to imagine the Cannonfort wearing greaves, and that general concept guided the modification's development. So, testing began. These tests comprised of mounting different levels of armor on the Zoid and testing its speed and maneuverability.

The final product surrounded the legs of the Cannonfort with Command Wolf grade armor, significantly improving upon one of the major weaknesses of the Zoid. This resulted in a thirty KPH loss of speed. As a final bonus, the engineers surrounded the hooves of the Cannonfort with simple hardened alloy, just for kicks, pun intended. If you want to stay in the fight and keep yourself moving, legs intact, this mod can now be yours for a price.
