--On the Death Cat, one Cannon mounts to each front hip
--On the Geno Saurer, one Cannon mounts to each shoulder.

In Brief: The Devastator Cannons are a pair of large Anti-Zoid Heavy Railguns, meant to destroy heavily armored targets. They slow the zoid equipping them by 20kph.

Weapon Type: AZ120mm Heavy Railgun
Ammunition: AZ120mm Heavy Shells
Rate of Fire: 1 shot every 3 seconds per cannon

The Death Cat and the Geno Saurer are somewhat infamous on Zi. Both pack immensely powerful weapons... but both have extreme difficulty using them. Both also have increadibly poor weapons to fall back on, which makes using these zoids difficult on a good day. The Iron Kong is in an even worse boat, with a superweapon that is just as likely to take out the Kong as it is the target. The Kong also has increadibly poor weapons to fall back on, relying solely on explosives and a single cannon.

Now, this is something that pilots were clamoring to have rectified, and what the pilots want, the pilots get... with a reasonable amount of profit for the suppliers, of course. The result of much brainstorming, work, scrapping of said work, and more work was the Devastator Cannons.

They are rather aptly named, as they do just that: devestate things, especially armor. You see, each one is a AZ120mm Heavy Railgun, and there's two of them. These rather potent guns are meant to punch holes in the armor of larger zoids, while the sheer kinetic energy of their rounds can knock lighter zoids over (maxing out at 50 tons for one shot, or 100 tons if both hit together).

The Devestator Cannons, as Heavy Railguns, don't really do much to penetrate armor. Instead, they simply shatter it, dealing massive amounts of surface damage. Their high caliber ensures that plenty of damage will be done, making them absolutely deadly.

So, what are the downsides? Well, there's a few of them. First, the guns are fixed forward, with absolutely no rotation. Second, they have a fairly low firing rate of one shot every three seconds. And finally, they're heavy. Each cannon weighs 15 tons, for a total of 30 tons. When equipped, they slow the zoid in question by 20kph.

There's another drawback, as well... There's something we don't talk about a lot -- a concept called conservation of linear momentum. The Iron Kong weighs in at more than 200 tons after equipping this mod, but the Geno Saurer and the Death Cat are only about 140 tons and 105 tons respectively AFTER counting this beast of a mod. There's always a strong kickback when using this weapon. However, if the Devastator Cannons are used by the Death Cat while in motion, or by the Geno Saurer when hovering and moving, there's a strong possibility that they'll jar or topple themselves in the process, despite the built-in dampening system. Just a heads-up.

The Iron Kong has more downsides, since it mounts one gun on each shoulder. The gun on the right shoulder blocks any of the Kong's other shoulder modifications, while the one on the left disables the missiles/rockets. They're still there, but the rockets can't pop up and firing the missiles would result in hitting the Devestator Cannon, which is probably a bad idea.

Still, they pack a hefty punch and are available to a few zoids who really need that kind of power. They're rather pricey, but if you can afford them they are quite potent.
