Remember that little backwoods firm that is to blame for the PACT and Zi's first two armor sets? While predominantly dealing in modifications, this firm has some free thinkers and some ties to the big governments. When it heard about the variant of the Command Wolf made by a private owner, it worked tirelessly to retain and then sell off rights to it to the Helic Republic, after making some modifications of their own. The zoid was, they deemed, perfect for Urban Warfare, something that the New Helic Republic might find useful should they ever be invaded. The firm sold the rights quickly, and the New Helic set to testing this zoid.

The coup de grace of this zoid is the Quad 150mm Mortar Array which gives it a real punch. However this limits the mounting abilities of other weaponry, and consequentially their range of motion. The Command Wolf Urban Warfare Variant has another big plus. While it has sacrificed maneuverability, putting it a dash below the younger brother, the Command Wolf, it has put itself on par with the Aro Saurer in armor. Its still relatively good maneuverability allows for easy turning around corners, making it perfect for fighting in city streets.

Once they received the design of this zoid, however, the New Helic Republic saw a second use for it, as artillery. They quickly added foot locks to the zoid, and a special readout system in the software that could only be accessed while the foot locks were deployed. This was to allow extra accuracy when bombarding targets 800-1,500 meters away, presumably for a war tactic. Tests found the new targeting screens installed acceptable and found the maximum range of the mortar cannons: 1,500 meters.

Weapons:

Twin AZ50mm Beam Cannons:
Mounted to the front shoulders of the Command Wolf UWV are a pair of AZ50mm Beam Cannons. Though the caliber may seem small, the AZ designation denotes greatly improved damage and penetration above a normal 50mm weapon. They're only semiautomatic, but their turret mount allows them to pivot up to 20 degrees up or down. Also, they can either be fired together or chain-linked. However, they have no horizontal range.

Dual Eight Shot Rocket Pods:
Set out to the side behind either AZ50mm cannon is a Rocket Pod with eight shots each. Obviously they're standard rockets all around. There's not much to say about these dumbfired bombs.

Quad 150mm Mortar Array:
Set onto the back of the Command Wolf UWV is a mortar array containing four 150mm Mortars, larger in size than the Revenge Trap's. These have a 45 degree vertical incline, but no horizontal. They can be lowered to fire straight, but only go so low so as to avoid hitting the Command Wolf UWV's cockpit. Each barrel can fire only once every three seconds. You can choose to fire them however you want, chain linked, all at once, in twos, however. The maximum range for any semblance of accuracy is 1,500 meters. When locked down and in Artillery Mode, you have a better chance of accuracy from 800 to 1,500 meters in distance.

Hardened Alloy Claws and Teeth:
The Command Wolf UWV has four sets of claws at the end of his feet and a nice mouth full of pretty smiling fangs. But you know what they say, never trust a smiling dog. These are, all in all, very standard fare.

Special Abilities:

IR Sensors:
Originally introduced out of necessity, the IR Sensors were first added to the Command Wolf UWV to allow it to see through its own smoke. Like all IR Sensors, this system allows the Zoid to track enemies and allies alike by their heat signatures. It's very standard stuff, no special quirks in particular.

Caged Cockpit:
While there was originally more than enough room for more than one pilot in the Command Wolf, the new design incorporates a cage around the cockpit to provide extra safety for the pilot. This was in the original design and neither the firm that acquired it, nor the New Helic Republc sought to remove it.

Smoke Dischargers:
Hanging off of the ass of the Command Wolf UWV are four smoke discharger pipes. They allow the Command Wolf to create a smoke screen: handy for hiding itself or covering a retreat. However, they only obscure vision, doing little to stop other forms of tracking. These are as effective as the Shadow Fox's.

Artillery Mode:
While the foot locks the zoid has can be deployed any time the pilot wants, when used in unison with a special targeting view that shows a visual of where the mortars will land in relation to the angle they're tilted up, the zoid enters Artillery Mode in which it is nothing more than a piece of Artillery. The Twin AZ50mm cannons go offline. The Smoke Dischargers and Rockets most certainly don't, but it'd be pretty stupid to use them in unison.
