Character Description:

Seraph stands in at approximately 6’02” and weighs a solid 200 lbs. He has a large body build, which when coupled with the fact that he tends to work on his Zoids and work out when he has the time has led him to develop a rather nice set of muscles. Though by no means does this mean that Seraph is all muscle, at times he can be quite agile when he needs to be at least for a man his size. His eyes are a light shade of green, with a yellowish tint to them, and his hair is golden brown, almost dark blonde. Seraph tends to keep his hair rather short, and for the most part when he goes out, uses styling gel to get a punk spiky look that he enjoys so much, if not he just keeps it natural without any sort or specific styling. No piercings or scars of any kind adorn his face or body, save for a round silver colored earring on his left ear.

If you ran into Seraph, you’d probably be expecting some tough or cool acting guy with an attitude to boot, which he does have. Seraph tends to keep to himself for the most part, due to being a little on the shy side. However, once he opens up to someone, they quickly find him to be the best friend you could ever ask for. He’s very kind, considerate, and gentle, like a gentle giant of sorts. The best way to get Seraph to open up is of course to mention Zoids, this is likely to make him open up automatically as he is a huge fan of Zoid Battles, which is part of the reason he chose to join the ZBC and become an official Zoid Warrior. Of course it should be noted that for some reason he tends to like cooking as his second preferred hobby, so that one would also get him to open up as well.

Seraph feels like a rebel on the inside and his clothes tend to show this, though the truth of the matter is that he’s rather lovable and carefree for the most part once you get to know him. Most of the time he can be seen wearing a pair of jeans, black or normal, a t-shirt of some kind, usually lacking in any sort of weird or smartass comment, and his ever stylish biker type gloves. Occasionally, Seraph can be seen wearing a leather jacket just to further accentuate his bad ass look, but it’s mostly when he goes out to run errands or just for the heck of it.

Due to the recent events that occurred in part by the Blackdraft Team and the ZBC conflict, Seraph has felt the need to arm himself for his own personal protection. He carries around three weapons in total. The first two are an army provision knife and a standard 9mm handgun both were provided to him by his old mentor Laguna. The knife is carried in its holster on Seraph’s right leg. It is sometimes used by Seraph when maintaining his Zoids for cutting wires and peeling their covers, much like Laguna had used it in times past. The handgun is a standard 9mm Glock 19 with a small customization in the form or a laser sight and is carried in a hip holster with three extra clips within reach.

The third weapon carries a little more sentimental value for Seraph. Taking a piece a broken blade of his own Blade Liger, Seraph took it upon himself to create a weapon to mirror his partner. He melted down the metal and made a sword out of it. The design of the sword however was a replica of the Blade Liger’s own blade. He had a special scabbard made to hold the blade and holds it on the back of his hip from side to side allowing Seraph to quickly draw his weapon should it ever be needed. Though all weapons aside, Seraph would rather try to avoid using them all together if at all possible, but he is not above defending himself should the need arise.

Character History:

Seraph was born some twenty one years ago on June 16, to a normal household. Though he was the youngest of three siblings and the only boy, he never felt unwanted or unloved. His father worked for the ZBC in a rather high ranking position, not high enough to actually be noted, but still high enough to provide well enough for his family. All in all, it was a rather typical loving family. Still, this didn’t help when it came to making friends in school as Seraph tended to be a little on the shy side. Still, he had a few friends so it wasn’t like he was a shut in or anything of the likes.

During his teens, Seraph, like many boys his age, quickly took a liking to Zoid Battles and became fascinated by these mechanical creatures. He even went as far trying to find a way to learn more about them. However, his age made it rather difficult to get involved in the world of Zoid Battling, even as an apprentice. Still he wasn’t about to give up on it that early. It was when Seraph was about fourteen that he finally managed to find the opportunity he was looking for, one he wasn’t about to let slip by.

One day, rumor of a temperamental retired pilot turned Zoid mechanic by the name of Laguna reached Seraph’s ears. Apparently he was a very well known mechanic, at least in the surrounding area. Still, apparently he had a thing about working alone which for the most part seemed a little ridiculous considering the amount of work required to fix a Zoid. Even with that, the rumors of him being a miracle worker seemed to be well founded. Almost no pilot who took his Zoids in for a tune up to his workshop ever seemed to complain about the quality of his workmanship, except for the occasional complain about the old man’s attitude when it comes to how people treated their Zoids. It didn’t take long for Seraph to track down the rumored workshop and even less for him to get the idea that he could get the old man to take him in as his apprentice of sorts.

Now, this old man didn’t like people thinking walking into his workshop and just thinking that they can ask to be an apprentice of some sort just like that. He liked it even less when it was some teenager with an attitude, and even less when said teenager was as stubborn as a mule when it came to getting what he wanted. The first words to come out of the old man’s mouth when he heard the request were: “GET THE HELL OUT OF MY SHOP YOU LITTLE PUNK!!!”, quickly followed by a wrench tossed at Seraph. The wrench luckily missed due to the fact that Seraph was smart enough to run for his life before the old man got a chance to toss the wrench at him. Still Seraph wasn’t about to give up.

For one entire month, Seraph came in twice every day, once in the morning before school, and once at night before he closed the shop. And every day, he got a wrench tossed at him, once in the morning and once at night. It was during the second week that the old man figured out that it was easier just to say a flat out “NO!” and be done with it. Still, every day like clockwork, Seraph came back still wishing to be an apprentice. Now, after that whole month, the old man finally felt annoyed over the boy’s constant nagging, and asked him how long he was willing to keep this up. Seraph quickly answered: “How many more years are you planning to live?” Now whether it was the fact that the old man saw something that reminded him of himself when he was younger or if he finally snapped, Seraph never really found out. The only thing that Seraph knew was the old man handed him a broom and told him to sweep up while he put the tools away.

For the next twelve months, Seraph spent every single moment of his spare time in that shop. Sure he didn’t directly help out with repairs on the Zoids, but he still watched silently and listened to everything and anything that Laguna told him. He learned the basics of Zoids repairs straight from the most basic of things like changing the servo caps, to servicing the gun barrels, to rewiring the cockpit. Occasionally, Laguna allowed Seraph to undertake certain project by himself. Like a quick check up, reprogramming of the combat system, rewiring of consoles, and other small tasks… the old man’s way of seeing how well he was paying attention. Every few weeks Laguna and the other mechanics and Zoids enthusiasts got together to ride their Zoids just for fun around the nearby wilderness. Sometimes camping over at the nearby mountains and general things like that. It was during this time that Seraph actually seemed to learn even more about Zoids, as he spoke with plenty of pilots and mechanics, even going as far as getting some sort of tenure among them.

After this first year, Laguna seemed to treat Seraph differently, going as far as making jokes and acting a little less tough around him, at least when it wasn’t about repairing Zoids. Seraph even mentioned the thought of trying to obtain a Zoid, even if all busted up, and repairing it himself from a junker or something. Laguna found it hilarious. He knew that the boy still lacked the needed know how to actually fix up a Zoid in that manner. But joked that if he ever got went ahead and did it, he’d let him use his shop to do it, something which Seraph took to heart. Little did the old man know that he was going to regret making that offer.

Two weeks after they had that conversation, Seraph and a couple of his friends went to the city Battle Dome to see a sanctioned battle that was going to take place. Now it was thanks to in part to Seraph’s tenure with the other Zoid aficionados that he managed to get a VIP pass for him and his friends to they could go down to the hangars where the Zoids were readied for battle. It was like paradise for them to actually see the Zoids up close and personal, and even go as far as meet the pilots themselves. But, one Zoid quickly drew Seraph’s attention.

Entering the hangar was a badly damaged Blade Liger dragged in by a Gustav. It was obvious that the Liger had lost the battle, and even worse that it looked like a pile of scrap metal. The pilot who was riding on the platform next to the Liger, could be heard from across the hangar cursing and bad mouthing anything and everything that crossed his path. It was obvious that the guy was angry over the fact that his brand new Liger got trashed. Seraph would’ve normally just ignored the idiot, had he not done two consecutive things. First of all, he blamed his Zoid for the loss and second of all he told the tow Gustav guy to just haul it away as junk since he wasn’t about to pay to have a “worthless piece of trash” fixed.

There was one thing that Seraph learned over his year under Laguna’s tutelage. Never blame your own inadequate piloting abilities on your Zoid. This was the fact that made Laguna such a pain in the ass for some pilots, and it had been drilled into Seraph’s mind already. Of course, Seraph wasn’t about to let this slide, and quickly voiced his disagreement over the pilot’s words. Still the pilot wasn’t about to admit that he was wrong, especially to some random kid and just ignored him. However, what Seraph said next did draw the pilot’s attention. He told him, that since he was just going to toss out the Zoid, to give it to him instead. The pilot laughed at the Seraph, remarking as to what he planned to do with it… fix it? Seraph replied that it was indeed his plan. The pilot just felt like acting like the tough man that he was, and told him that it was his to keep. He even handed him the registration for the Zoid and signed it making the Zoid officially Seraph’s. Using his connections with the Tow Gustav Drivers, Seraph had the Zoid towed to Laguna’s shop.

It was interesting to see the look on Laguna’s face when the bulking heap of metal formerly known as the Blade Liger was hauled into his work shop. Seraph only reminded him of the his earlier offer to allow him to repair the Zoid if he ever got one, and went to work on it. Laguna could do nothing but laugh at him. He decided to keep his end of the bargain just to see how long it would take him to give up. Even the other Zoid mechanics and aficionados would laugh when Laguna told them about Seraph’s crazy stunt, though rumor had already circulated among their tight group. They all tried to get him to give it up since it was next to impossible. Still, Seraph just ignored them and told them that he was going to make them eat their words one day.

The next year and a half went by rather quickly for Seraph. His time and energy were spent junkyard diving for parts, working part time jobs to pay for the necessary replacement parts, working at the shop to get some more knowledge and experience, and repairing the worn down Liger himself. Suffice to say, it was a time consuming project. Every day the old man would just laugh at Seraph over his lack of common sense when he accidentally blew a transistor in his face or when he bolted a part on backwards. However, in the back of his mind, Laguna could do little more than nod in approval over Seraph’s determination and let him to his own devices.

Then on one fateful day, on one of the aficionados many gathering, a single brand spanking new Blade Liger joined the group mid way through their little march to the designated meeting spot. The aficionados were impressed by the terrific shape of the Liger, some claiming that it was brand new Liger. It wasn’t till the cockpit opened up and Seraph leaped out of it, that they realized that it wasn’t new. It was the same Liger that he had been working on all this time. Suffice to say, that Seraph’s tenure among them had finally come to an end and he was greeted as an official mechanic, or at least among them.

Half a year after Seraph finished the repairs on his Blade Liger, Seraph watched along with the whole world as how Blitz Team lead by Bit Cloud took the Royal Cup by surprise and defeated all challengers to join the fabled and much sought after Rank S. Now that Seraph was finally old enough to actually join Zoid Battles according to the ZBC regulations, he decided that it was time to finally prepare to take the next step to accomplish his childhood dreams. With that, Seraph began to train in the proper use of the Liger to prepare for the challenges he would soon face in the world of Zoid battles.

After two years of training at the hands of Laguna, Seraph finally felt ready to become a registered pilot. With the rising conflicts between the ZBC and the Blackdraft, Laguna gave Seraph a brand new Shadow Fox he had saved up for and his old handgun and combat knife from when he was back in the army. With the confidence that he in fact was ready to join the world of Zoid battles, Seraph registered with the ZBC to become a licensed Warrior and joined the world of Zoids Battles.
