Character Name: Matthew Johnson
Board Name: Matt Johnson
Character Gender: Male
Character Age: 20
Zoids: Snipe Master and Raynos
AIM Screenname: Hazuki Mun

Character Description:

The young man before you stands rather tall and gangly looking, about six feet tall, if not more. Brown hair has recently been cropped and cleaned up, shortened signifigantly to fairly high regulatory standards... It's still kind of long, but more than managable now. His face is clean shaven, a hallmark for him, also taking a couple of the years off of his face, perhaps younger in appearance that he actually is. Some people would say 'babyfaced.' His complexion is cleaned up, his cheeks and face over-all browned from recent sunlight and activity outside. His skin is a light shade of mellowed tan, upkept and looking keen. He doesn't look all too big for his height, but yet he doesn't look very wide, either - His arms are a fairly nice shape, showing off a slight muscular tone, as well as his broad chest and shoulders.

He is wearing a simple ensemble of clothing at this time. Covering his upper body is a white button-down synthetic-materialed shirt, which hangs just a little loosely as it works its way around his arms to cover those, as well. The neck of the shirt is a little loose as well, the top buttons unbuttoned to allow him a little freedom in movement. The cuffs on the arms are undone and rolled up to the elbow. Over the shirt, he wears a dark blue vest of sorts, which is fastened closed. Moving down, his legs are encased in a pair of dark colored pants, seemingly utilitarian in nature; there seem to be a total of about six pockets on the sides of the pants, and one or two loops on each side to hold objects with. A pair of black, slightly older and scuffed boots finishes off the ensemble.

Character History:

Matt Johnson's history is not quite as interesting as most people would think, nor is it that long, considering he's only been alive for only one-fourth what's expected of the average member of the population of the planet Zi. He was raised on the continent of Delphoi, raised in a middle-class setting in the city of Coopersville and with all of the love and nurturing a child could want. His father and mother both were of the relatively normal types of people you would find on Delphoi, for the most part. His father owned a Zoid repair facility and was the chief mechanic for the facility on most days, preferring a hands-on approach to running a business - and business was always relatively good, being paid on commission by the Zoids Battle Commission to repair their machines when they broke down. His mother was a simple school teacher.

As the years passed, his father exposed him to what Zoids and working with them are like. He was taught the wonderful academic skills in school, sure... And he was a crackerjack computer wizard. But his talent with working with Zoids and programming was admirable, even at the age of sixteen. His father would give him work in the facility, allowing him to re-program partially fried Command Systems and re-calibrating targetting computers. By the time he was eighteen though, he had to make a choice. Would he go to school, and learn a higher academic calling? Or, by contrast, would he stick with his father and mother, and work the trade his father had taught him in the shop, and expand on his skills as a repairman?

To their surprise, after two years of study at a local college, he found himself leaving both ideas and facets behind. Now, at age twenty, he's chosing to go into a different area - even though war rages on, there is still a calling for warriors by the Zoids Battle Commission and their competitive grid. Having saved up the money to begin renting his own machines and tools, he's on his own now, and is hoping to make a name for himself as a pilot.

Character Personality:

Matt is not confrontational on a simple whim. Something has to irk him enough to want to actually start something that doesn't involve Zoid combat. Competitively, that is a different story. He's a quick wit on the competitive field, and sometimes, his mouth may get the best of him - and even worse, get him in over his head. He's a slight braggart, but he knows that it can get him in trouble - so, it's not often he'll go shooting off at the mouth.
