Character Description: When one looks at Lanji the first thing they see, is someone who doesn't look like your typical zoids pilot. After all pilots are supposed to be at top physical condition is the common expectation from those who aren't pilots. Lanji is a scrawny individual who wears a pair of black-rimmed glasses and has mid-length black hair that often gets in the way of his eyes. His height and weight are in the average range for his age, as his blue eyes gaze at those who are around him. His features and looks makes it easy for him to get lost in a crowd.

Often wearing a long-sleeve shirt and a pair of loose pants, he commonly wears a messenger bag that has a good number of things that he needs, including his laptop. The pilot doesn't expect to win adoring fans with his looks alone, in fact doesn't really want the fans who view him as a boy-toy. The biggest thing aside from his messenger bag is he wears a pair of over-sized headphones around his neck. The type that covers the ears completely to tune out people.

Character History: Born to a pair of loving parents in a small city on the coast, Lanji grew up doing the normal things that kids his age did at the city. With the city having its own Zoid Arena, Lanji was often with his friends catching glimpses of the battles that went on. It was the biggest an most exciting thing that went on in the city, watching the pilots in the league battle one another, often new pilots rotating and changing at meaning new zoids were constantly seen. Though him running around with his friends and trying to check out the latest battles that went on or even sneaking into the arena to take one of the empty seats crimped into his homework, Lanji did well enough to make Honors in his schoolwork.

The biggest thing that happened however wasn't him hanging out with his friends or working his way through school, it was when one of the New Helic Republic Military's demonstration teams came around the town. Lanji was about thirteen at the time so went to check out what all the talk was about having heard constant comments in-between and even during some of his classes. The Helic Republic was showing off some of its zoids and even letting people climb in the cockpits and get a feel for them. While they didn't let people go running around in the machines they did let a number of people ride back seat as the zoids moved around. What really attracted Lanji was the Snipe Master display.

Rather then have people ride around in it they had the Snipe Master locked down in sniper mode and let people take a few shots in it firing paintballs at a target. Lanji of course had to try such a fun looking toy, and so clambored onto that sniper couch. His glasses he pushed up as he got comfortable and zoomed in on one of the smaller targets. Unlike others who had impatiently fired Lanji patiently waited for the targeting system to get a good lock on his target and he pulled the trigger once, Lanji being the only person who blasted a can off the rail. Intrigued to see if it wasn't a fluke Lanji was asked to fire again by one of the recruiters. It was a dead on hit once more.

After getting out of the machine Lanji had been asked if he had given any thougths to a career, naturally Lanji hadn't so he was asked if he was interested in Zoids. This was the big question here, Lanji had always been intrigued by Zoids, yet he also knew where this line of questioning was starting to go. He said he did and the conversation continued onwards eventually with the recruiter talking to his parents. Rather then put Lanji immediately on the frontlines of the war they wanted him to be one of the representatives fro the Helic Republic in the Zoid Battle Leagues. If Lanji wanted to volunteer for further service that was up to him.

His parents reluctant as they were did allow it for one reason, at least Lanji would have a career path rather then being indecisive about what he wanted to do. So a few months later, some paperwork signing as well as pilot training and Lanji now owned a pair of zoids and was fully registered in the Zoids Battle League.
