Description
Caroline is a young Caucasian woman of small stature. She’s a petite height of 5’2’’ and barely weighs 110 pounds though she does have some decent curves to her body. Caroline is in good shape since she enjoys working out. Her hair is her most distinguishing feature as it is hardly ever the same color from year to year. Currently her hair is medium length, choppy, and blonde with a bright red streak behind her bangs. Her eyes are a light green with flakes of blue and yellow mixed into the iris. Her style isn’t one that can be contained into one category. She enjoys wearing all different types of clothing from expensive designer clothing to junky thrift store clothes. Somehow she always makes it look amazing. Caroline enjoys bulky, colorful jewelry and is never seen with a bare neck or ears.
Personality
Caroline’s personality is as spunky and colorful as her clothing. Typically Caroline is upbeat and cheerful, though she does have her moments where everyone should duck and cover. She is exceptionally sarcastic and enjoys making a joke out of things. She can be down to earth and serious when she needs to be, but prefers to avoid that as much as possible. Caroline is an avid nail biter and wishes she could stop, but not even fake nails can stop her from her habit. She has completely given up the fight. Another interesting personality fact about Caroline is that she is a night owl. Despite her pleasant demeanor throughout most of the day, mornings are the worst. She should always be dealt with gently in the morning as her biting and almost devilish moments typically happen early in the morning whenever someone has taken the opportunity to wake her up unpleasantly. Caroline always opens her mouth when she shouldn’t and is a big talker. She is also clever and smart. She’s a capable motivator and speaker. She’s also quite personable.
History
Caroline Grey was born in a large city to a wealthy woman named Natalie Grey. Her grandfather, James Grey, was a CEO of a major corporation, while her grandmother, Francis Grey, was a socialite who was quite the perfect arm piece to any event, knowing all the right things to say and wear. Despite her mother’s upbringing, she still ended up getting knocked up at the age of 19 to a Zoid pilot named Adam Rena who was passing through town. He seemed dangerous and was absolutely gorgeous, so Natalie could not resist him and ended up with a beautiful baby girl whom she named Caroline nine months later.
Despite James and Francis’ extreme embarrassment, the two were good at heart and helped their daughter out. Many of their friends said they would have thrown their children to the streets at such an outrage, but her grandparents couldn’t do that to their only daughter. Francis was ecstatic whenever she held Caroline for the first time and any anger that she had harbored toward her daughter was removed immediately.
Caroline grew up surrounded by wealth and love and was able to have anything she wanted. She went to the best private school in the city and was the top of her class. Her grandparents paid for her to attend martial arts lessons, music lessons, and dance lessons. They wanted her to be well rounded and happy. They knew that her father missing from her life was something that bothered her any time that she had a chance to dwell on it, so they kept her so busy she never had a chance.
Despite their attempts to keep her father’s identity secret from her, Caroline eventually made her mother tell her who he was. Natalie explained that he was a Zoid pilot who she met and went a bit too far with after a few drinks and she never saw him again, but did tell Caroline his name. Once she found this information she looked up her father who had become a mercenary pilot and had no phone or address that she could use to get in touch with him.
Anytime a Zoid pilot came into town, Caroline would rush to see if it was her father. She frequently walked up to middle aged looking pilots asking what their names were or if they knew an Adam Rena, but had no luck. She devoted even more time to her hobbies and schoolwork and tried to block out her disappointment after about two years of searching non-stop.
Her mother and grandparents were concerned when Caroline gave up her search. She became more introverted and focused so much on her schoolwork and hobbies that she hardly spent time with her friends anymore. Their usually radiant and happy Caroline was morose and quiet. Her grandmother could not stand this and went on her own search for Adam. She was going to find this man if it would bring a smile back to her only grandchild’s face. Within two months she was able to track him down to a rural town in the middle of nowhere. Francis went alone to find her granddaughter’s father and found that he was genuinely surprised and excited to find he had a sixteen year old daughter.
Adam had devoted his life to piloting and never had time to start a family. He had the occasional one night stand, but never took the time to fall in love or settle down. Now that he was forty-eight he was glad to find out that he had a daughter and wanted to get to know her. He went with Francis to meet his daughter.
Caroline was absolutely blissful when her grandmother introduced her to her father. The two sat and talked for hours about everything the other didn’t know and eventually went to bed late into the night only to wake up and continue catching up. Adam adored his daughter and was incredibly surprised to find how smart and talented she was. He wanted to do what he could to give her some of his knowledge as well, so he went on to teach her a little bit of hand to hand combat to go along with her knowledge of martial arts, doing his fatherly duty of making sure his daughter could defend herself.
The two enjoyed meeting one another and soon Adam moved into town to be near Caroline and begin to develop more of a relationship with her. Natalie and Francis were fine with the development as it made Caroline happy, but James did not trust the man and had a private investigator check Adam out. The investigator did all the digging he could, but only found that Adam was a rather accomplished pilot who was exactly as he said he was. He said he never found any criminal records or any records of misdoings, so James had to accept that this man was going to be a part of Caroline’s life and he didn’t have anything he could use to throw him out. He grudgingly began to put up with Adam and started treating him with indifference rather than outright hatred.
Caroline began to become interested in Zoid piloting, but her mother and grandparents all forbade it completely. Caroline protested that she was seventeen and it wasn’t that big of a deal to learn to pilot a Zoid, but no one would hear anything of it. Her grandfather all but threatened to kill Adam if he dared teach Caroline how, so he was unable to give his daughter the lessons that she constantly begged him for. She instead got him to help her with her fighting skills and even had him teach her to use knives, swords and guns, which he did without the knowledge of the rest of her family.
Finally ending her high school career, Caroline graduated Valedictorian of her class and was accepted to a top university that was located in a city about an hour and a half away. Her mother was excited that she was going to college saying it was an experience she didn’t get to enjoy thoroughly with an infant around while she was completing her degree. Caroline was a Literature major and music minor, which her grandfather was a bit disappointed with, but accepted it without a word. He did groan to her mother and grandmother a bit, but they told him she was a dreamer, not a future business tycoon. He had wanted to leave the company to her and still would, though he realized she would not be the one running it.
Caroline managed to run into a boy named Ryan while she was at college who was in a few of her classes that knew how to pilot a Zoid. His father had been on a team, but retired to settle down and have a family, but did not keep his son out of the cockpit of a Zoid during his teenage years. His father missed piloting and enjoyed teaching his son the trade, but encouraged him to go to school anyway. Ryan did go to school reluctantly, but finally decided the whole thing wasn’t so bad when he met a cute girl (Caroline) who was really smart and could tutor him as long as he showed her to pilot a Zoid. By the end of their four year stint at college, the two were best friends.
When Caroline’s family found out she’d learned to pilot and now wanted to become a Zoid pilot, her mother and grandmother cried, her grandfather screamed and her father smiled quietly from the corner of the room. He was rather amused that despite him refusing to teach her because of her family’s wishes she still ended up doing exactly what he knew she would. How could she not? She was spunky, daring, talented, smart and adventurous. He was proud and in private he let her know.
Caroline set out after college to find a Zoid team that would take her in and help her to train into a talented pilot.
